Senior & Specialty Move Managers are professionals who specialize in assisting older adults and their families with the emotional and physical aspects of relocation or aging in place. We can help with some or all of the following:
- Developing an overall move or age-in-place plan
- Organizing, sorting, and downsizing
- Customized 2-D floor plans
- Professional packing & unpacking
- Moving (in-state) via our DOT-licensed moving company, ClearMove Solutions
- Scheduling and overseeing movers
- Arranging for the profitable disposal of unwanted items through MaxSold online auctions, traditional auctions, estate sales, consignment, or donation
- Finding the senior community that is right for you
What is NASMM and why does it matter?
Founded in 2002, the National Association of Specialty & Senior Move Managers is a not-for-profit, professional association dedicated to helping older adults, families, and other individuals with organizing, downsizing, and relocating. NASMM members deliver professional move management services with compassion and integrity. All NASMM members adhere to the NASMM Code of Ethics and are committed to maximizing the dignity and autonomy of their clients. NASMM is the only nonprofit organization in North America devoted to supporting the 55+ population through late-in-life transitions.
NASMM Members:
- Have expertise in resources and approaches that save money and reduce stress
- Use a client-centered and personalized approach to meet their client's needs and promote their client's dignity and autonomy
- Are insured, required to complete educational training on senior move management and related topics, and provide proof of practice to acquire and maintain membership
- Adhere to a Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice
